went for alvin's (my bro's godbro) wedding on wed night. some things about weddings are just so cliche don't you think. the music and dry ice when the first course comes in. the slideshow of groom and bride from baby times. the awful sharksfin soup... and of course the way it makes you smile despite all of that.

happy easter!

it's finally easter again this year. i'm feeling really lousy though cos i didn't go to church. but it was a choice i had to make cos my mom's quite sick and can't walk well so i'm waiting for her to wake up to bring her to the doctor's.

i rmb looking forward to easter all the time when i was younger cos church was always really really exciting on easter! we'd have like colouring pages, chocolate eggs, painting of egg shells,... yepp. fun sunday school times. haha.

of course, now i know the Easter bunny only has as much to do with Christianity as Santa. haha. moosey and i were actually talking about Easter and religion that day which made me really curious so i went to read up on it.

so! here are a few basic things everyone should know about Easter:

1. Origin: It used to be a pagan celebration of the Saxon Goddess Eastre but when the Saxons got converted to Christianity, it got merged with the traditional memorial of Christ's resurrection and got called Easter.

2. Ever-changing date: It's held every year on the first sunday after the Paschal Full Moon which is the first full moon of the northern spring. Oh oh! This year's Easter is actually the earliest since... 1913. cool!

3. The Easter bunny and eggs: Another pagan relation cos the Saxon Goddess Eastre's symbol was a hare and eggs were symbols of fertility and rebirth.

and of course everyone should already know that Easter Sunday is all about honoring and recognizing Jesus Christ's resurrection from the dead, and His glorious promises of eternal life for all who believe in Him. (:

checked tmc website and the bible passages for today were supposed to be John 20:1-18 which talks about Jesus' resurrection so gonna read up later. i'm off for lunch, happy easter everyone!

it all started on a sunday morning. the day before choir camp. me and guin were on the phone pho-ing about how much we missed the past. so, we came up with our brilliant operation: power! just a little get together with a slideshow of pics as invitations!

nono made a photo slideshow/video thingy too and screened it on that day along with ours. it was a really emotional time for nono ling and me and we totally sobbed non-stop for quite some time. ):

i dunno. i really miss us all together but i know it's selfish to force things. at some point it felt like people left us but then again we ourselves left them. no one's to be blamed though i'm sorry for abandoning some people and pushing some away. i guess for now, i can only thank everyone for the memories and time spent together and hopefully from here on out, i can just treasure all those dear to me and still try to fight for those i've lost. i love you all.

so! mummy's bday was on the 15th march! also Ides of march when julius caesar died. haha. anw, me and michelle actually planned a nice dinner at parkway thai. but cos my grandma wasn't feeling well and my mom didn't really want to go out, we had dinner at home instead. haha. she ended up cooking for her own bday. haha.

time for a very random post! i've been bored stiff at home for the past two days. decided to pon on tues cos i was having hives plus i wasn't in a very good mood. ponned yesterday too though i was actually excited to kickbox! haha cos i had my bro's godbro's wedding at night so decided to sleep in first. anw, shall blog more about our power dinner and the wedding and my mom's bday soon. for now, here's some random stuff that happened...
